Installing the Eclipse IDE (Integrated Development Environment)

1. Go to www.eclipse.org

2. Click the Downloads link

3. Choose either Eclipse IDE for Java Developers or Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers from the listed packages. (I choosed Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers. But for our purpose, Eclipse IDE for Java Developers would've sufficed.)

4. Choose a mirror site and download. (I choosed www.springsource.com, and from the Eclipse Galileo Download Packages category, I clicked Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers. The file eclipse-jee-galileo-SR2-win32.zip will be downloaded.)

5. Extract it to the desired drive (e.g. C:\ .. \eclipse-jee-galileo-SR2-win32

6. Go to the extracted eclipse folder and right-click on the eclipse icon

7. Select then Send To .. > Desktop (for easier access)
